Beyoncé Slandered By South African Chief For Her Upcoming Movie

Yesterday word on the street was that Jay Z’s baby mama aka Beyoncé is preparing to kick off her very first screenplay in order to prove that she is more than just your average singer.

Apparently the biopic is based on a South African woman named Saartjie “Sarah” Baartman who due to her large bum was enslaved in a freak show during the 19th century .

Now this sounds like a role perfect for the singer who coined the term ‘Bootylicious’ right? Well a South African Chief named Jean Burgess of the Ghonaqua First Peoples is not happy about the news. In an interview with News24, he said…

“She lacks the basic human dignity to be worthy of writing Sarah’s story, let alone playing the part. Why Sarah Baartman? Why not a story about an Indigenous American woman?”

“I can only see arrogance in her attempt to tell a story that is not hers to tell.”
