Zimbabwean Beauty Danai Gurira Covers New York Post’s Alexa Magazine
Yaaaaaas! Don’t we all love that black girl magic? Zimbabwean-American actress Danai Gurira is the cover star for this month’s edition of New York Post’s Alexa Magazine. In the issue the 27 year old star who would be playing Afeni Shakur, the mother of the late Tupac Shakur in the upcoming biopic dubbed ‘All Eyez On Me’, describes Afeni as ‘astounding’
She said..
”She managed to keep her son’s mind as sharp as it was. She always managed to expose him to culture and art and literature.”
The Walking dead star who also features along side Lupita Nyong’o in the Broadway play ‘Eclipsed’ said..
“We did three premieres in 2009, but we knew we weren’t done with this play yet, To see it come full circle like this is more than I could have imagined ”
All Eyez On Me just begun shooting and Eclipsed kicks off this February 23, 2016. Can’t wait to see the African girl in action!
