Great News! Dbanj & Pearl Thusi Announced As Host of Lip Sync Battle Africa

We recently reported that popular American TV show Lip Sync Battle hosted by the legendary LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen was coming to Africa.

Well guess the time has come because, Afrobeats sensation Dbanj and South African media personality Pearl Thusi have been unveiled as hosts of show.

Apparently, the show would be recorded in Johannesburg, South Africa and the first season would consist of thirteen half an hour shows which would air from 13th April,2016 on MTV Base.

In a statement, Pearl who would be taking on ”LL Cool J’s role said…

“I think with the kind of experience that I have had with all the other shows I’ve done on radio and TV, I really can handle this. I really think I’m fun, smart, sassy and spicy. And the show needs all those stuff”

Dbang also pointed out that….

“It’s all about the host. For me this is what I do for a living. This time I’ll be chilling and enjoying myself in my corner. Watching my colleagues, these are very interesting people, seeing celebrities do what they have never done. It’s all about the hosts, contestants, audience and viewers at home. In this current economy we need that kind of fun, to put a smile on your face”
