When women slay! The 2016 New African Woman Awards took place recently at the Andaz Hotel in London. Ghanaian movie producer/director Amma Asante who has won a BAFTA for her film ‘Belle’  was honoured with the ‘New African Woman Award in Arts and Culture’

Another star of the night was Zuriel Oduwole who is of Nigerian descent. Zuriel is a budding film maker whose works has gained the attention of high profiled networks and brands such as CNN, BBC and Forbes Magazine. The 14 year old African star was awarded as the New African Woman On The Rise.

Mo Abudu  from Nigeria – New African Woman Award in Media

Arunma Oteh from Nigeria – New African Woman Award in Banking and Finance

Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma from South Africa-  New African Woman Award in Politics & Public Office.

Obiageli Ezekwesili from Nigeria – New African Woman  Award In Civil Society

Geraldine FraserMoleketi from South Africa – New African Woman of the Year
