Just in case you have been living under a rock or not following the fashion world then let me fill you in. Recently model Aamito Lagum from Uganda was hit with internet trolls when international cosmetics brand M.A.C posted a picture of her, specifically her lips rocking one of the brand’s signature lipsticks
Some went as far as referring to her lips as Jay Z’s lips..
Even though all that controversy has died done, African fashion brand Mille Collines payed homage to the black beauty last night at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Johannesburg.
The brand stated on social media that…
”We dedicated our show to @aamito_lagum and her beautiful lips and we all became ONE. All our models stood up powerful for a finale that made us all so proud and emotional. Only talent like @deonredman and his team can give a show such an honest meaning. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for this show that launched the brand officially in South Africa we are overwhelmed and so grateful and excited to share this!”
