Good News! John Boyega Wins Best Newcomer Award



Congratulations are in order as Nigerian native John Boyega bagged the Best Male Newcomer award at the 2016 edition of the Jameson Empire Awards held in London last night (19th March, 2016)

Boyega was awarded was for his role as Finn in the movie Stars Wars: The Force Awakens.

During his acceptance speech, the 24 year old revealed…

“J.J. thanks so much for your support during the seven-month process. But you know what? I’ve proved myself now. Don’t ever put me through a seven-month process again!”


His co-star Daisy Ridley also won  Best Female Newcomer award. Speaking of Star Wars, the movie scored 5 awards during the event
