Mr Eazi has obviously signed a record deal of a lifetime. Afrobeats superstar Wizkid recently unveiled the rising musician alongside Ghanaian music duo R2Bees and songstress Efya as new signees of his Star Boy Record Label.
While he plans on taking over the world with his unique African sound, Mr. Eazi stopped by Accra based radio station Live FM and talked all about how he was able to scoop the enviable deal, meeting American superstar Lauryn Hill plus is he a Ghanaian artiste or Nigerian artiste?

On meeting Lauryn Hill, he said…
” When Alvin of BBNZ told me I told me ‘you are on the Lauryn Hill show’ I thought he was joking, I didn’t know I was going to New York till two hours before the flight…It was a blessing because after the performance Lauryn Hill came up to me, called me in front of everybody”
He also disclosed how Lauryn Hill gushed about his music
On how he landed the Star Boy record deal…
”It started from Mugeez (R2Bees), way back like six months ago Mugeez is always encouraging me with music he told me that there is something he is working on and obviously with my big sister Efya…they started dropping hints”
”Major moves started for me in March when I was in the UK because I’m always in contact with R2Bees…I met Wizkid a couple of times and you know the rest of the story”
On which his country he affiliates with…
”I always say this, Mr Eazi has no nationality…..the music is for everybody, it is a mixture of Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, the West so you can’t really put a nationality to the Mr. Eazi brand.”
He went on to say…
”Obviously my loyalty chiefly lies with Ghana, if you check my twitter you would see my name ‘Kofi Kentinkrono’ that should tell you where I stand”
