Guess most people can’t stand any form of photoshop any longer. This morning True Love Magazine unveiled South African TV star Lerato Kganyago as the cover muse for their June 2016. Unfortunately not everyone was happy about the issue not even the cover star.
The Ebony Life TV co-host, revealed in a statement via social media that..
“Nick Boulton is one the most amazing photographers in the country. He captured me beautifully, it must be disheartening even for him to have his work continuously retouched (PhotoShopped) to a point of no recognition. I had an amazing shoot though and the article beautifully captured @phila.tyekana”Great article, had a lot to share, and that’s all that matters! Get your copy now!!! ❤️””
Even her fans had quite a lot to say…
However, the publication quickly took to their website not only to release a statement but also before and after photos
According to the brand…
“TRUE LOVE editor, Dudu Mvimbi Leshabane says: “As a brand that stands for women empowerment, TRUE LOVE would never intentionally do anything to compromise women and their public profile. We have a responsibility not to tarnish our cover star’s image, to produce authentic content for our readers and to uphold the brand’s integrity.”
To put Lerato’s comments in perspective and give you a full picture, TRUE LOVE felt it best to show the before and after images of the TV and radio personality. #Judgeforyourself”
Was the photoshop/retouching a bit too much?
