One Of Chimamanda Ngozi’s Works Would Be Turned Into A Film By Ghana’s Akosua Adoma Owusu

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie keeps on proving that women do not have to drop dem panties to be successful.
The writer/novelist who was recently awarded an honorary degree at America’s John Hopkins University would have one her short stories turned into a film
If you would remember the same thing happened back in 2014 when Thandie Newton, Chiwetel Ejiofor and more starred in the film adaptation of her book ‘Half of a Yellow Sun’
The film is based on a short story from Chimamanda’s collection dubbed ‘The Thing Around Your Neck’
Akosua Adoma Owusu a Ghanaian film director who owns the production company ‘Obibini Pictures’ is the brains behind this new project and according to her, the story addresses issues which are very close to her heart such as Identity, Immigration, Family, Feminism and more
A kick starter campaign is already up and running to help fund this project.
