Nigerian-American celebrity fashion stylist, Kanayo Ebi whose clients include the likes of Angela and Vanessa Simmons teamed up with Pop Up Africa, the curators of London’s biggest African inspired shopping event ‘Africa at Spitalfields’, to launch their first ever pop up shop event in London, over the weekend.
The Kach It Project, featured a collective of fashion forward and groundbreaking designers and brands from ready to wear to haute couture clothing and accessories inspired by Africa and the disapora, in an exclusive two day shopping and lifestyle experience in East London’s iconic Olympic Village at the digital art space, Red Yellow Blue.
Participating brands included: Taje by TV personality Taje Prest, Ezie, Innocente Messy, RAAAH, Rahima Mohamed Couture, Gazelle London and Printed Soles and UK beauty brand: The Afro Hair and Skin Co.
In attendance was Angela Simmons, WAG Amara Kanu and fashion bloggers Fisayo Longe, Manigazer and Afroblush who also enjoyed a masterclass with celebrity stylist Kanayo Ebi on ‘how to own your style’, a fun interactive karaoke segment with Afrobeat Karaoke and musical sounds by DJ Cuppy.
Guest also experienced live art from Eniola Alakija and Tendezart and food and drinks by Chuku’s, Majestik Food and Burst energy
