Wizkid Makes History At The Royal Albert Hall in London

Who said an African cannot have a sold out show at one of the UK’s most iconic venues? Wizkid made history on Friday night (September 29) by becoming the first African artist to sell out the Royal Albert Hall in London. Tickets were even sold out two days before the concert!

This historic event was as part of the Albert Sessions, an initiative which ‘ enables artists who have not previously headlined at the Royal Albert Hall to offer cut-price tickets to fans’

The show was broadcasted live via Wizkid’s Facebook page so his worldwide fans could also get a piece of the action. Apparently, Wizkid will also be working with the Hall’s Education & Outreach team to offer an exclusive experience for a group of young people.

Wizkid may be young but I guess he is officially a legend now, don’t you agree? He joins the likes of the Beatles and many international superstars who have headlined at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

British act Yxng Bane and Nigeria’s Wande Coal also performed at the concert
