Martin Amidu Sworn in as Ghana’s first Special Prosecutor



Did you watch Mr. Martin Amidu’s vetting process, he is one ‘interesting’ character isn’t he? President Nana Akufo-Addo today (February 23, 2018) swore in Martin Amidu as Ghana’s first Special Prosecutor. The ceremony which took place at the Flagstaff House had the Vice President, Chief of Staff, Attorney General and other government officials in attendance.

This week, many peeps were shocked when news about Ghana School of Law recording massive exam failure broke out. Martin Amidu took advantage of his high-profiled swearing-in ceremony to praise Prof. J.N.D Doudu (a University of Ghana lecturer). The Special Prosecutor credited the lecturer for helping him become a lawyer. The 66-year-old apparently disclosed….

“He ensured that I was not cheated out by the exclusion of my name from the LLB class list at the Faculty of Law after my first university exams when I had qualified for placement by merit”

The Special Prosecutor further revealed that the gesture….

”contributed in no small measure to my position, my passion for the defence of truth fairness integrity transparency and merit in public life”
