BET is out here giving emerging fashion designers a shot at stardom. Made in Africa is a new reality show set to debut in April 2018. The show will feature upcoming fashion designers across the motherland who will battle for a retail contract and other lovely prizes valued at R500 000

According to BET, Made in Africa will feature a panel (the host and key fashion industry players) discussing specific fashion topics that relate to a selected theme in each episode. The panel will be made up of celebrities and some of the most influential fashion industry experts on the African continent. Each episode will also profile two emerging fashion designers selected across the African continent who will go head-to-head in that episode to design and construct a look based on a selected theme for that episode. A total of 18 young and emerging fashion designers will be profiled at the end of the series with a winner of each episode going away with fabric worth R1000,00.
