Harvey Weinstein will allegedly turn himself in to the New York police on Friday following multiple sexual assault charges.
If you were among those peeps or even a #MeToo movement supporter who was wondering what was the update on Weinstein’s case after a jury found Bill Cosby guilty of sexual assault, well here is your news. The Hollywood movie producer who has been accused by more than 50 women of rape and sexual harassment is expected to face the New York State Supreme Court in connection with the allegations made by one accuser named; Lucia Evans.
Evans claims that in 2004, the film mogul forced her to perform oral sex on him. According to her, Harvey Weinstein invited her to the Miramax office for a meeting, where she alleged that he pulled her head down to his crouch.
“I said, over and over, ‘I don’t want to do this, stop, don’t, I tried to get away, but maybe I didn’t try hard enough. I didn’t want to kick him or fight him.” – Evans revealed in an interview
Apparently Lucia Evans case falls within New York’s statute of limitations, unlike the others. Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Beckinsale and Ashley Judd are among some of the public figures who have accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault.
Harvey Weinstein still maintains his innocence.
