Tamaryn Green is Miss South Africa 2018. The 23-year-old medical from the Western Cape beat 11 beautiful Mzansi women to walk away with the coveted title. Miss SA 2018 was held on Sunday night at Times Square in Pretoria and was hosted by the vibrant, Bonang Matheba.
Tamaryn seems to be all about girl power and equality, in a speech, Miss South Africa 2018 revealed:
”I want to inspire and empower women to be the best version of themselves. I want to show them that we have a voice and it can be heard, seen and valued! As a woman I believe there is a golden thread linking all women across the globe. Together we should be able to uplift, inspire, nurture and educate the youth of our world.”
This year’s competition came with a sweet twist. The winner and 1st runner-up were awarded. Thulisa Keyi, a 26-year-old University of Cape Town graduate who came in second will represent her country at the Miss World competition whilst Tamaryn Green will represent SA at the Miss Universe competition.
