Harvey Weinstein Could Face Life in Prison After New Sexual Assault Charges

Guess we can call this the Weinstein domino effect. Harvey Weinstein has been charged with sexual assault by a third woman. According to prosecutors, the case dates back to 2006. The 66-year-old Hollywood film producer had already been charged with rape and other sexual crimes in May against two women which he pleaded not guilty to those charges.

Harvey may have to kiss lavish lifestyle goodbye as he faces a minimum sentence of 10 years to a maximum sentence of life in prison over the charges – one count of criminal sexual act and two of predatory sexual assault

Harvey Weinstein whose sexual misconduct sparked the #Metoo Movement has been accused by more than 70 women. Lucia Evans, a former actress, is one of the women who publicly accused the film mogul of forcing her to perform oral sex on him.

Harvey Weinstein’s attorney Benjamin Brafman said he will enter a plea of not guilty to the new charges.
“Mr. Weinstein maintains that all of these allegations are false and he expects to be fully vindicated…Furthermore, to charge Mr. Weinstein as a predator when the interactions were each consensual is simply not justified.” — Brafman said in a statement
