Tamar Braxton Talks About Her New Nigerian Man & Reveals She Was Molested As A Child

Tamar Braxton is currently living what it seems to be her best life. Her new haircut is not the only new thing in the singer/reality TV star’s life. Tamar has for the past 3 months been snuggling with a fine dreadlock Nigerian man who by the way went to Harvard.

In a recent interview with Wendy Williams, Tamar who divorced her husband of 9 years, Vincent Herbert, revealed she is currently in love and that she would like to have ”wonderful, beautiful African children”

On her ex-husband, Tamar disclosed:

“I love Vince. He is my family member. Just like with family sometimes, you kinda got to know when to draw the line…I wanted to be happy and I just felt that he deserved to be happy. We shouldn’t be just coexisting as a married couple.”

Another info from from the interview was that, Tamar Braxton was molested during her childhood days. Why open up now? Well her family (the Braxtons) recently sought for help from popular US life coach, Iyanla Vanzant. During the mediation, Tamar was apparently ticked off by Vanzant’s resolution skills when the topic of her child molestation was brought up. The singer not only walked off the TV set but also took to Twitter to call Iyanla the ”devil”

During her recent interview, Tamar revealed to Wendy Williams that:

”In my experience I just didn’t think that her tact to go the way she [Iyanla] usually goes about things worked for my family. I thought that this is not a situation where we needed to go back and fix things, we just needed to talk about things….. It was just a little too abrasive, a little bit too much and it was uncalled for”

Tamar Braxton further explained:

“I’ve been battling myself about whether or not I want to say what happened or not … I’m Tamar and I’m real, right?…A lot of things happened in my childhood that I was too afraid to talk about. Too ashamed to talk about. But the truth of the matter is I have been molested by both sides of my family.”

Following her interview with Wendy. Tamar also took to her Instagram account to open up more about her unfortunate childhood incident. In a post, Braxton shared:

Today Wendy asked me what happened at my sisters meeting and why did I walk out. Since someone there decided that they would ask me about something so private, so embarrassing, so secretive in front of EVERYONE that was there, I felt like my life was flashing before my eyes and IMMEDIATELY started to cry. Not because someone decided to allow someone else to tell MY SECRET, not because I was asked if it were True in front of a hundred strangers, but because once again my right to choose was taken from me all over again. I decided to Tell Wendy and the world MY secret, MYSELF that I have been a victim of abuse not once, twice, ten, but multiple times by multiple “family members” I’ve never told ANYONE other than Two people in my life and they both have held this close to them. One Being the man that I am with now and EVERY, SINGLE DAY he says I’m so beautiful and my scars makes me even more attractive. I felt that because this has happened to me recently, that something HAD to be done about people who DID know and tried to make People embarrassed and ashamed about something that has happened to them!!!
