Glitz & Glam - UK Stars Attend 'The Intent 2' Movie Premiere

The Black community was fully represented on Wednesday night at London’s Leicester Square as UK stars came out in style for the world movie premiere of The Intent 2: The Come Up. The film which takes us to the beautiful and sunny island of Jamaica has some of your favorite musicians such as Popcaan, Ghetts, Krept and Konan showing off their acting skills.

In 2016, the first installment of The Intent was released and it was able to sell out cinemas in the UK. The film even reached top three on the iTunes Chart and also scooped a deal with Netflix. Hopefully part 2 will surpass part 1.

Speaking in an interview with Film Beat, actor Ashley Chin described the movie as ‘‘an introduction into a world that some people haven’t seen and don’t know exist”

He went on to say::

”People will watch it and be like wow, is this what life is really like for that kind of people in those areas in London?…. It is a nice way to show the struggles and the fight for money and the pressures that the young man faces”
