Sho Madjozi Is The Only African Artist To Perform In New York City This Weekend!

Sho Madjozi is ready to show off that African sauce in New York City! The South African artist is the only star from the motherland booked to perform at the Global Citizen Festival scheduled for this weekend in Central Park, New York.
Sho Madjozi who recently collaborated with Chris Martin from the American band, Cold Play will perform alongside the likes John Legend, Janet Jackson, Cardi B, Janelle Monae among a host of other musicians.
Sho Madjozi who is obviously excited about this news, apparently cancelled all her local shows this weekend. She shared a video on Instagram saying:
“I have some amazing news, unfortunately, it’s coupled with a bit of bad news. A couple of days ago we got a call from Global Citizen in New York City, they asked if we could perform this coming weekend alongside Cardi B, Janet Jackson, The Weekend. It’s a huge opportunity. Previously there wasn’t an African on the line-up and then they chose me, I’m mind blown, I’m so excited for this opportunity. The bad news is that I have to miss some of the performances I had planned”
