Melania Trump is going on an African tour! Hate her or love her, the First Lady of the United States has announced her visit to Ghana, Malawi, Kenya and Egypt next week just month’s after her hubby described some countries in Africa as ‘shitholes.’
FLOTUS says she’ll promote child welfare in the four African countries as part of her Be Best campaign. She discussed her plans on Wednesday at a reception for the spouses of foreign leaders and others participating in the annual U.N. General Assembly.
“Oct. 1 will mark the first day of my solo visit to four beautiful and very different countries in Africa, Ghana, Malawi, Kenya, and Egypt – all of which have worked alongside USAID and our partners to make great progress in overcoming some of their biggest challenges”
