Ursula Owusu-Ekuful Enstooled As ‘Nkosuohemaa’ – Development Queen

You can now call Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Obaapanyin Abena Bema Oforiwaa Gyankobaa. The Minister of Communications and MP for Ablekuma West, has been enstooled as the Nkosuohemaa (Development Queen) in Akyem Asuom in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The ceremony took place at the Palace of Asuomhene Osabarima Ofosuhene Apenteng II on Saturday.
Nkosuohemaa, meaning “Development Queen” is an honorary title bestowed on people who have been selfless and shown commitment to the development of their community.
During her inaugural speech, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful promised to facilitate the construction of a vocational institute in the area (an initiative of Akyem Asuom’s Queen-mother), fix the deplorable roads and also urged all natives of the area to join forces to upgrade the community.
