Africa 2018 Forum is set to take place on the 8th-9th December in Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt. As part of the event, a gathering dubbed Women Empowering Africa will be held to bring together some of the most prominent women from across the continent, to set the agenda and drive change for women in Africa.
In a statement, reGina Jane Jere (Editor for New African Woman Magazine) said, ”Women Empowering Africa will be a unique platform to help strengthen the voice of African women and promote an impact-led programme that will ensure that their voices are heard at the decision-making table. The primary objectives are to push for legislation and policies that, for example, make women an essential presence in Africa’s boardrooms, as well as the uptake of public procurement to empower and support women-owned and led businesses.”
Africa 2018 is a unique business-to-business and government-to-business platform, bringing together Africa’s leading crop of policy makers, financiers, leading industrialists and young entrepreneurs.
