All Black Everything! Tracee Ellis Ross Hosted The American Music Awards Wearing Outfits Made By Black Designers

What’s the point of having a major platform if you can’t represent ‘your people’ in the best way possible? Tracee Ellis Ross hosted the 2018 American Music Awards (AMAs) last night. Besides her amazing hosting skills, the Black-ish TV star made sure all her looks were made by black designers.
In a tweet prior to the AMAs, Ross revealed:

Designer Claude Lavie Kameni who goes by the fashion brand name Lavie By CK, could not contain her joy. The creative who had her ankara piece worn by Tracee Ellis Ross, took to Instagram to share:
”I have always watched the AMAS and I never thought in my life that my gown would be on live TV? in front of millions of people. I’m so honored to have been one of the black designers chosen for @traceeellisross wardrobe change for the @amas you are the BOMB.com. All my hard work and dedication is continuing to pay off.”
Tracee Ellis Ross also flaunted her curves in a golden shimmering gown by CD Greene.
The actress not only looked fab in her stunning and different outfits, she also made an important statement with her “I Am A Voter” shirt by x Karla and the RiseUpAndVote campaign together with a red Shanel skirt
