Patricia Obo-Nai is Vodafone’s First Ghanaian CEO

Well say hello to Mrs. Patricia Obo-Nai, the boss lady has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer for Vodafone Ghana.
Vodafone has been operating in Ghana for a minute and it is nice to know that the company has finally decided to put a Ghanaian national in charge.
Patricia Obo-Nai apparently has 22 years experience in Information Technology (IT) and until her appointment, she was the Director of Fixed Business and Customer Operations of Vodafone Ghana.
Patricia also worked at Millicom Ghana Limited (operators of Tigo) for 14 years.
As for her school credits, Vodafone’s new ‘oga’ holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), an Executive MBA in Project Management from the University of Ghana, Legon, an Executive Education from Insead, France and also from the Kellogg School of Management, USA.
Speaking on her appointment, Obo-Nai revealed
“I am looking forward to taking up my new role and leading the company in the next phase of its development. My focus will be to continue to push the boundaries of innovation and position Vodafone as a key challenger in the market. Together with the outstanding we have at Vodafone Ghana, I am confident that the company will remain a strong competitor in the industry here in Ghana”
If you are wondering what is going to happen to Vodafone Ghana’s current boss lady Yolanda Cuba, well she is reportedly returning to the Vodacom Group in South Africa in April, after successfully serving her three-year tenure in Ghana.
