Oscars 2019: Trevor Noah Clowns Audience with Fake Xhosa Translation

It is no secret that Trevor Noah is one funny dude but his recent stunt at the 2019 Oscars probably takes the cake as one of the hilarious moments in Hollywood.

Hands up if you love to speak your native language in a foreign country just so other peeps will not understand. Well, Trevor Noah did just that during his presentation at the 91st Annual Academy Awards.

While introducing ‘Best Motion Picture‘ nominee, Black Panther, Trevor Noah used a Xhosa phrase which he said meant:

“In times like these, we are stronger when we fight together than when we try to fight apart.”

Guess what? It actually meant:

“White people don’t know I’m lying.”
