Money may not be everything but it sure is nice to have some right? Ed Sheeran is set to become a billionaire before he even turns 30! The 28-year-old British pop superstar could possibly have the highest-grossing music tour to date.
According to The Sun, his Divide tour has banked well over £493million from global gigs, with tens of millions rolling in every week. And experts predict his next three months of shows will earn him more than £100million, meaning he’ll surpass U2’s record of £579.35 million made during their 2009-11 run of shows.
Music industry author Mark Borkowski said: “The man who was busking on the streets is now a man who is going to be a billionaire. Above all, this shows just how potent live music is nowadays.”
