Government To Rename Airport Hills Roundabout After Major Maxwell Mahama

It has been two years since the horrific murder of Major Maxwell Mahama. Even though his loved ones will never get to enjoy his company again, the Ghana government has made sure his name will still be remembered.
The Government recently approved the naming of the roundabout near the Airport Hills Estate in Accra, after deceased soldier, Major Maxwell Adam Mahama who was reportedly lynched and burnt to death after some of the youth of Denkyira Obuasi mistook him for an armed robber.

A statue is expected to be unveiled on Wednesday, May 29, at the roundabout at Airport Hills, Accra.
The unveiling ceremony is expected to be attended by his family, the Military High Command, Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul as well as other state officials, according to a statement signed Monday, May 27, by Commander A. La-Nyane for Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces.
