Cynthia Erivo has arguably bagged one of the biggest roles in her career! The British-Nigerian star has taken on the movie role of Harriet Tubman in a new film titled, Harriet.

I’m grateful to have been a part of the telling of this story and I hope I will have made you proud come November 1st. I put my blood, sweat, soul, heart and tears into it because it deserved nothing less.” – Cynthia Erivo disclosed via Instagram.
The producers describe the film as: “Based on the thrilling and inspirational life of an iconic American freedom fighter, HARRIET tells the extraordinary tale of Harriet Tubman’s escape from slavery and transformation into one of America’s greatest heroes. Her courage, ingenuity, and tenacity freed hundreds of slaves and changed the course of history.”
Harriet also stars Janelle Monae, Leslie Odom Jr, Joe Alwyn, Jennifer Nettles, and Clarke Peters. The film was directed by Kasi Lemmons, produced by Debra Martin Chase, Daniela Taplin Lundberg, and Gregory Allen Howard, who also co-wrote alongside Kasi Lemmons.
