"I’m Not Ugly" - Miss Ghana 2019 Responds To Trolls

There is a new Ghanaian Queen in town but unfortunately the masses are not so receptive to her reign. Rebecca Nana Adwoa Kwabi was recently crowned Miss Ghana 2019.

As expected, images of the latest Miss Ghana and her runners-up: Deborah Opoku Sarfo (who placed 3rd) and Sarah Odei Amoani (who placed 2nd) made its way online. The ladies were immediately trolled because of their looks and all sorts of insults were fired at them.

Speaking in an interview with Joy News, Rebecca Nana Adwoa Kwabi revealed:

“Do I look ugly? I am not ugly, my mirror doesn’t tell me I am ugly. I am not ugly….People called advising me but I told them I was cool. Even [President] Akufo-Addo, they insulted him, Jesus Christ, the ultimate person, he has been insulted, so how much more me, a mere person.”

1st Runner-Up, Sarah Odei Amoani also blamed the pictures on having a “bad hair day” and advised Ghanaians to look beyond physical appearances.

“We had a lot going on the day before and we had to wake up early….Every girl gets a bad hair day, a bad makeup day, a bad dress day so it happens…Beauty comes in a different form.” – Amoani revealed.
