14 amazing women have been celebrated at the 2024 edition of the Ghana Women of the Year Honours. The 9th edition was held on Saturday, 14 September at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
Ghana’s First Lady, H.E Rebecca Akufo-Addo was crowned the “Woman of the Year.” 8-year-old Abigail Dromo, who recently captured many hearts after competing in Britain’s Got Talent was also honored with the “Young Star” award.

• Lifetime Achievement of the Year – Nana Konadu Agyeman – Rawlings (Former First Lady, Republic Of Ghana)
• Excellence in Governance – Hon. Irene Naa Torshie Addo (Administrator, District Assemblies Common Fund)
• Excellence in Business – Mrs. Patricia Poku Diaby (Founder, Plot Enterprise Ghana Limited)
• Humanitarian of the Year – Madam Enyonam Ansah (Founder, Enyonam Short Foundation)
• Excellence in Technology – Mrs. Mavis Owureku – Asare (CEO, Impact Food Hub)
• Excellence in Public Service – Mrs. Tucci Ivowi (CEO, Ghana Commodity Exchange)
• Excellence in Media – Portia Gabor (Award Winning Journalist, TV3 Ghana)
• Excellence in Health – Dr. Dzifa Dey (Head of Rheumatology Department, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital)
• Excellence in Education – Prof. Angela Owusu – Ansah (Provost, Ashesi)
• Excellence in Creative Arts – Nelly Hagan (Creative Director, Duaba Serwa)
• Excellence in Hospitality – Nana Krobea Asante (Founder, Azmera Restaurant)
• Activist of the Year – Mrs. Femi Asante (CEO, Groupe Sebastien)
