Ohemaa Mercy is spilling the tea about her divorce. The gospel singer who split from her husband some few years ago revealed in an interview with TV3 that she sought divine direction before calling it quits.
”I want to say this to every woman, when you are going through a divorce, one thing that I have learnt is that, don’t depend on any man” – Ohemaa Mercy said.
The woman of God revealed that during those tough times, she withdrew from everyone and for three months she consistently asked God for confirmation.
”I remember when I was going through that I said to myself, devil I have given you a rope, make sure you are able to pull it well, because am pulling it with you in heaven. If am able to pull this rope to my side and I win this battle you are in trouble” she revealed.
Ohemaa Mercy got very candid about her search for divine validation. She said….
”During COVID season, that was when I had that serious covenant with the Lord, an encounter with the Lord. Speaking to him solely. Going to the mountains, for three months. I really wanted to hear what the Lord had to say about what was happening in my life. When I heard Him clearly, I took that bold step. I had confirmation from God—if I didn’t, I wouldn’t have done it.” – the singer disclosed.
The Ghanaian music star appears to be very content with her relationship status, She said:
“I give God the glory because…I am divorced but this is the time I have seen God’s hand so strongly in my life, even more than when I was married.”
Ohemaa Mercy revealed that the divorce was mutual and also advised that for divorcees to have a smooth coparenting experience you need to remember that ”your partner is not your enemy.”
